Tony Sandy founded Micro-Tech Services in 1976, concentrating
initially on the production of high quality microfilm and
microfiche for both archival and publishing requirements.
Whilst this is still one of the company's activities,
diversification into the supply of microfilm equipment and the
installation of a computer based facility has broadened
considerably the services available to the customer.
Micro-Tech Services computer facility was established in 1980
and comprises computer equipment providing a variety of
automated publishing services.
In the 1990's, the company developed specialised software for
the Aviation Industry to handle the retrieval of technical
information and for the creation of databases. This
system we have called CAATSS (Computer Aided Aviation Technical
Support System).
The system is PC based and can be described as a CD ROM based
text image retrieval system with a built in data management
facility capable of handling Revisions/Temporary Revisions as
well as their consolidation to produce updated
Manuals/Documents.
The system has many other features which have been developed
using experience gathered over 20 years of supporting
engineering in the presentation and distribution of technical
information and the storage of history files, reprints warranty
documentation and other documents associated in running a
company onto year 2008. The company provides in-house retrieval
software to customers using its services F.O.C. |
