CD Tek is an exclusive and powerful information and retrieval
system derived from original documents stored on CD-ROM.
Designed by Micro-Tech, CD Tek provides instant access of up to
60,000 pages of Text and Graphics or 250,000 pages of Text with
as many as 64,000 Hot Links or Cross References.
Our Software comprises a Database preparation system which
captures Data from a variety of sources to produce your initial
Document or Database, with a retrieval system which takes
account of interim revisions and periodic up-dates.
The Database preparation system accepts Data from Magnetic Tape,
Disc, Scanned Images to CCITT Group Four Compression, OCR and
Communications to create your Database. An Audit Trial is
constantly maintained enabling a document to be recreated at any
given status throughout its entire history.
Micro-Tech Services sophisticated Data Management Software is
applied during the creation of the Database to provide Automatic
SGML Tagging with Hypertext Links. The facility includes Fail
Safe Checking and Status Reporting. Indexes are created during
Database preparation for every Heading, Paragraph and
Image. On completion of Data Preparation your new Database
can be used to create a customised CD-ROM in High Sierra Format.

As a result of constant Software appraisal, Pages, Headings,
Tables, Graphics and Copies can be located easily and viewed
quickly using pop-down menus selected with the aid of a mouse.
CD Tek's Retrieval System operates within either Run-Time or
Full Environmental Windows. Retrieval options include:
Bookmarks, Audit Trail, Various Search Options, Browse, Image
Manipulation and Page Print. Database Revisions could not be
easier. Our software allows the user to input Revision Data
to the Retrieval facility by means of Magnetic Media which is
seamlessly integrated in the Database and remains Transparent to
the user.
A modest investment can transform your existing PC, by simply
adding a CD-ROM Drive, an Image Processor Card and Mouse, many
thousands of information pages are instantly accessible
including Diagrams and Graphics. Rotate and Zoom features allow
the user to pull-in a section of a Diagram or Drawing to
identify specific areas with Print option if required.

Tek by supplying a ready to use system and if required, produce
your Database. We can of course, advise on the equipment needed
